The Management Committee of The Society for Providing Services for Neglected or Needy Children Inc., (SPSNNC) is managed by a group of volunteers who assume responsibility for both the financial future and ongoing maintenance of the property, as well as the compliance for the Tenants.
Membership of the Committee is by invitation only, and regularly meets to carefully consider all requests put to the Society for assistance. However, the Committee is always keen to involve local businesses and philanthropists in supporting both the property itself and the broader welfare charities it supports. FACILITIES Sitting on the equivalent of eight house blocks, the property consists of the original house, which has spaces downstairs for the children's activities and operational offices upstairs. The Childcare Centre was built in the 1980's and is operated by one of our Tenants independent of the SPSNNC. The Canada Bay Council leases the car park adjacent to the Childcare Centre from the SPSNNC. Along with the many day-to-day maintenance requirements of a 150-year-old property, the Committee has committed to a 5-year plan to significantly upgrade the property and has in consultation with many local trades services:
