Ardill House today is a major landmark in the area. Located in Davidson Avenue, and backing onto Clermont Avenue it occupies a total area equivalent to 8 house blocks in the quiet leafy part of North Strathfield and is now placed within Australian Heritage.
Between 1936 and the 1960s, the original organisation known as ‘The Society for Providing Homes for Neglected and Needy Children, Waifs and Strays’ operated Ardill House as ‘Our Children’s Home’. Today the property provides tenancy for several not-for-profit organisations that have in common the care of children. THE MISSION The Proprietors of Ardill House (SPSNNC) continue the tradition of providing space and facilities to tenants in the field of childcare and child support at Ardill House. Financial assistance is also provided from funds generating interest to support worthy children’s charities across the country to make a difference for children everywhere. |
